Weather: Much the same as yesterday, i.e. hot, windy and generally unpleasant.

We went north early this morning and were rewarded with a good lion sighting near the Chromalaena project, there were 3 big males and a couple of females dining out on what appeared to be a buffalo !! Heading south again into the Umfolozi section of the Park things were really quiet as has been the case for a few days now, although we did have reasonable elephant and rhino sightings. The buffaloes and giraffes were nowhere to be seen however.

Umfolozi Big Five sightings: Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo and wild dogs.

Hluhluwe Big Five sightings: Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino.

General Game: Warthog, Wildebeest, Antelope, Giraffe, Baboon, Zebra etc.
