Weather : A real snorter out there today, around 32 deg with high humidity…. a typical Zululand summer day !

As expected with this kind of heat, most of the action happened early in the day. Near Mpila two hyaenas were squabbling over a kill and we encountered no less than 3 separate bull elephants in musth, all of them in a bad mood and intent on telling us just exactly who the boss was ! Other than that we had good rhino and buffalo sightings.

Umfolozi Big Five sightings : Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino…. and hyenas.

Hluhluwe Big Five sightings : Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino.

General game (impala warthog zebra giraffe etc…..)
