EuroZulu Wildlife Diary – Wednesday 8 May 2013

Weather : Sunny and mild, what more could one ask for !!

Not a spectacular day today by any means although we did spot a lioness & 3 cubs chilling out in the river bed at marker 15 in the south. A little earlier we came across a young zebra that had been badly injured by a lion but had managed to escape. It had serious wounds on both rear legs and was walking with great difficulty. There were a couple of bull elephants near Umganu and also a few good rhino sightings.

Umfolozi Big Five sightings : Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo.

Hluhluwe Big Five sightings : Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo.

General Game : Antelope, Warthog, Wildebeest, Baboon, Zebra, Giraffe.
