EuroZulu Safaris – Monday 4 August 2014

A little windy out there today and a chill in the air as well. The burning season is upon us and, although it makes life a little difficult on tour, controlled burns are a vital component of conservation management and we just have to grin and bear it. We struggled a little today but were rewarded with a sighting of a “honeymooning” lion couple near Nyathi Pan in the south of the Park. General game was fairly abundant and there were a couple of elephant bulls milling around on Sontuli loop. Not many birds around at the moment but that will change as we move into Spring.
