EuroZulu Guided Tours & Safaris Hluhluwe / Umfolozi : Wednesday 15 October 2014

It was a difficult day out there in the bush today. The weather was all over the place, alternating between warm, very cold, sunny and cloudy. At times the wind raged and then it became totally calm. It seems the animals were as bewildered as we were with all of this and for the most part of the day, they stayed hidden deep in the bush. Early on we did enjoy a good elephant breeding herd sighting near Le Dube in the north and there were also reports of brief lion sightings at Bhejane Hide and also between markers 24 and 25 in the south. On the plus side we had good bird sightings, including kinfishers, a brown snake eagle, a variety of bee eaters and some crowned lapwings.
