After a day like yesterday when were witness to a fresh lion kill, there’s always a fear that it’s a hard act to follow the following day, but , on the contrary, we had a good if not spectacular day in the bush today. At view point 17 in the south we were entertained by a lioness strolling down the road in front of us, no more than 50 m away from a herd of buffalos. She looked an old male in the eye, he stared back at her and it seemed in that instant they declared a truce of non violence !! The general game was good today with plenty of giraffes, zebras and wildebeest etc. We only saw two elephants, both in the river at Umganu while we were having lunch. Elsewhere in the Park there were two separate wild dog sightings.
