A tough day out there today, Mother Nature did not yield up her secrets easily !! Although the weather was really favourable for viewing the whole southern part of the Park was extremely quiet, almost as if the animals sense something is going on with the weather. This did not prevent us from enjoying ourselves though and we were lucky enough to see two hyenas strolling down the road near Nyalazi Gate just inside the Park. We had lunch at Umbondwe picnic site while watching two bull elephants playing in the Umfolozi river below us. General game was quite abundant although there were not many birds on show. The cats were also absent today but….tomorrow is another day !!
