Sometimes we get the feeling that the animals in the Park know that it’s weekend time and the traffic volume will be high, so they decide to go away for the weekend themselves !! Today was a bit like that although there were quite a few elephants around in the south of the Park. There was also a wild dog sighting, with a hyena in hot pursuit, near Masinda Lodge early in the day. Apart from that however, it was quite a tough day with sparse general game. It was great to see that the yellow billed kites are back, however – one of them nearly took my lunch out of my hand at Umbondwe picnic site.
