We were spoilt by cats and dogs today ! Near Umbondwe picnic site early this morning we had a great lion sighting. There were ten of these magnificent beasts sitting on a ridge 50 m from our vehicle. They sat there for a while before moving off slowly in full view for about 10 minutes. Later during the morning we came across 7 wild dogs between markers 21 & 22 in the south of the Park,. We had them all to ourselves for a while until another vehicle arrived, at which point the dogs sauntered off into the bush. We got the same lions again later in the day at Umganu picnic site and then had a perfect black rhino sighting near Nyalazi gate. We also had good bird and general game sightings and a lazy hyena curled up and sleeping near Masinda Lodge.
