Weather: One of the hottest days so far this summer @ 42 deg around 12h00. Thankfully there was a breeze to cool things down a little.

Predictably, by 10h00 it was all over… any animal that knew what was good for it was deep in the bush lying in the shade!!! We did get a couple of marauding hyenas near Bhavalomu early morning and there were a couple of bull elephants dotted around the south of the Park. Otherwise it was a pretty quiet day out there.

Umfolozi Big Five sightings: Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino… and hyaenas.

Hluhluwe Big Five sightings: Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino.

General Game: Warthog, Wildebeest, Baboon, Zebra, Giraffe etc.
