Weather: Perfect weather today, warm but not too hot and thankfully, no strong wind.

Just when I was wandering where all the buffaloes have gone to we were spoilt by several big herds today at various locations. They’ve obviously traded places with the giraffes because these guys were few and far between today. We missed the lions which were seen near Centenary Centre earlier in the day but were lucky to have a big male cross the road in front of us near the airstrip early afternoon. General game was good and quite a few rhinos on show as well so, all in all, another good day was had by all.

Umfolozi Big Five sightings: Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo.

Hluhluwe Big Five sightings: Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino.

General Game:Warthog, Wildebeest, Antelope, Giraffe, Zebra, Baboons etc.
