A rather quiet day in the bush today after a great start : 10 lions chilling out in the river bed at the Black Umfolozi bridge !! After that, however, it got very quiet indeed despite reports about a cheetah and another pride of lions near marker 17 in the South. Try as we might we could find no sign of these cats so we had to settle for general game for the rest of the day…although we did spot some bull elephants at a distance from the view point  near Masinda Lodge. Bird sightings are very sparse at the moment, no doubt also tied in to the critical lack of water.
