It was stinking hot out there today… by 10h30 the temperature had already soared to 41 deg celcius and, needless to say, any self respecting animal decided to head deep into the bush for shade. For the 3rd consecutive day that made it very tough for us a tour operators / guides. Our guests are paying good money for these tours and, although the vast majority of them understand how fickle nature can be there’s always a sense of disappointment when you travel for vast stretches at a time without seeing much. There was a bright end to our day however…at Nyalazi gate on our way out of the Park, about 6 elephants were drinking from a pool of water close to where our vehicle was parked. They entertained us with their antics as they splashed and pranced around in that precious commodity called water !!
