We headed straight for Umbondwe this morning to see if there was any action around the reported lion kill in the area yesterday afternoon. It was all in vain sadly as there was no sign of any kill, although 8 lions did appear in the same vicinity around mid morning. There were also 2 separate wild dog sightings this morning and another lion sighting in the river bed near the main Umfolozi bridge. We were treated to a gorged hyena taking a bath at Bhejane Hide. The poor animal was so stuffed from whatever it had dined out on and could hardly move !! The elephants that have been spoiling us with their presence at Nyalazi gate were there again today… a great way to end our day.
