Today’s weather in the Park was the best for about a week, virtually windless and mild, but rather than bringing the animals out it seemed to have the opposite effect !! In fact it was a really tough day out there, until we eventually came across two lions sitting next to the road near Umganu picnic site. These cats are part of the large pride that has been seen in the area for a few days now, although today it was just the two that showed themselves. Lots of rhinos on display today but for the first time in ages we did not see one elephant ! Giraffes were also very scarce today and there were only sporadic sightings of general game such as zebra, wildebeest and baboons etc.
